Cycles of Time is Now Living the Spiral
Cycles of Time is becoming Living the Spiral, and Astrosomatics is becoming Hearth & Spiral
Happy Solstice week, everyone!
I’m writing today to share with you a couple of big changes:
1. Cycles of Time Podcast is now Living the Spiral.
Living the Spiral will be the new home for both my podcast and newsletter, bringing the cycles of time closer to the heart, with less theory and more lived experience. You can bookmark it at livingthespiral.com.
The first episode with this new name will be live later this week on the Sagittarius New Moon & the Winter Solstice.
2. My brand, Astrosomatics, is also transforming… into Hearth & Spiral.
Hearth & Spiral is the new name for my company and larger body of work: astrology and human design readings, astrocartography, breathwork, the Mandala 64 Human Design Deck, and future offerings (including a book about Living the Spiral and some exciting new courses I’ve got planned for 2026).
I’ll be launching my new website next Monday, December 22, in alignment with the growing light after the Solstice, and you can still find what you need at astrosomatics.com until then.
What these changes mean for you:
A New Home for my Work: As of today, my social handles have changed (@hearthandspiral and @livingthespiral) and the newsletter and podcast are wearing their shiny new name. My new website will be going live next Monday the 22nd at hearthandspiral.com.
My Podcast is hopping back in the driver’s seat: I stepped back from my weekly forecast podcast on the Fall Equinox as I needed some space for recollection, but I really miss talking to y’all through the airwaves! So I’ll be bringing my multi-dimensional perspective forecast to Living the Spiral every full and new moon. This will leave spaciousness for foundational episodes about the 101’s of astrology, human design, and beyond, as well as interviews, transit deep-dives, big-picture cycles, and whatever else wants to organically emerge.
Paid subscribers/Embody the Revolution Members: Nothing changes for you! You’ll still receive monthly Zodiac Season Guidebooks and invitations to Live Breathwork Journeys through the end of the astrological year (Spring Equinox 2026). At that point, you’ll be updated about the perks for the 2026-27 year. (SO much love to all of you for being here on this journey with me, it truly means a lot <3)
And that’s the long and short of it! I’m making these updates to my business and podcast to make things simpler, more congruent, and more aligned with the true mission of my work. I look forward to returning to the hearth and continuing along the spiral path with you in the coming year.
Stay tuned for the official Hearth & Spiral website launch next Monday, the first new-moon episode of Living the Spiral on Friday, or read onward if you want a peek into my heart about the deeper why behind this change.
Wishing you all love, peace, and laughter this holiday season,
Alison
P.S. Thank you so much to everyone who supported my new human design deck project with a pre-order - I appreciate you all so much! In honor of the New Year, I’m offering $20 off the deck, MANDALA 64, through the end of December. It’s a great solstice gift for yourself… Get yours here.

Why Hearth & Spiral
Seven years ago, when my daughter was a newborn and everything in me felt raw and newly opened, I was in a meditation and received a clear vision of a place called Hearth. It was specific. A brick-and-mortar gathering space rooted in earth, art, and heart. The name arrived fully formed and never really left me, even as years passed and my life took many unexpected turns. It has lived quietly in the background as a kind of remembering, a pulse I could feel even when I wasn’t consciously following it.
With my north node and unconscious sun in Gemini Gate 45, the Gate of the Gatherer, I’ve always been someone who gathers people together. As a child, I was constantly starting clubs, based on instinct rather than ambition. The International Pen Pals Club. The Unicorn Club. And my favorite, the Fun Club, which was exactly what it sounds like: a loose gathering of kids meeting in my house or out in nature to invent games, dance, sled, make things, or simply be together and have fun. The activity itself was secondary. What mattered was the shared field, the feeling that something shifted when people came into presence with one another.
The spiral of my adult life carried me far from that Fun-Club simplicity before slowly curving me back. In my recent past, I’ve moved through a series of profound descents and returns: narrowly surviving a house fire, a near-death experience right after giving birth, a deep betrayal and divorce, navigating single motherhood during the Covid lockdown, and the sudden loss of a close friend who was taken too soon from this earthly realm.
Whew. The past few years have been a ride. But far from being symbolic initiations, these experiences have been embodied ones, each of them requiring me to locate my center again, in real time, and move forward.
What carried me through these dark nights was not belief or certainty - it was a growing awareness of rhythm. Learning how to live in relationship with cycles rather than resisting them. By building a relationship with the cycles of my breath and the cycles of the stars and planets, I’ve learned so much about when to move and when to rest, when to speak and when to listen. The stars, the elements, the seasons, and my body’s wisdom have become true companions rather than abstract concepts, offering me orientation and guidance when my old patterns of logic, people pleasing, and striving to prove myself simply weren’t cutting it.
Over the past decade, I’ve studied many intricate and beautiful systems that have helped me articulate this relationship: astrology, Human Design, the Daoist 5-phase cycle, elemental and ancestral frameworks. I’m deeply grateful for these languages and feel blessed because I know I will continue to learn from them until my time runs out on this planet.
And at the same time, I recently started to feel the strain of trying to hold too many maps at once. As I moved from beginner’s mind to a teacher, the work started to become more abstract, more narrow, more academic, and less connected to the original impulse that had kept me alive through my darkest nights.
That realization brings me back to the hearth.
When I look beneath all of these systems, what I see is not hierarchy or mastery, but relationship. Our ancestors didn’t gather around frameworks. They gathered around fires, fresh harvest meals, shared work, and acts of creation. The Wheel of the Year wasn’t something to interpret, it was something to live, marked by moments of coming together to re-center within the larger turning of time.
Hearth & Spiral is my return to that orientation.
The hearth represents nourishment, presence, and emotional integration, It’s the place where experiences are collectively digested and deeper meanings are made through the warmth of interconnection. The spiral represents growth, change, and the fundamental truth that life doesn’t move in straight lines, even when we wish it would. Together, they describe the way I want to offer this work now, with more embodiment and less abstraction, balancing staying with what’s right here in front of me (hey Gemini North Node) with my habit of chasing the next horizon (hi, Sagittarius stellium & South Node). Engagement is at the heart of Hearth and Spiral: a space to engage with living cycles and also find a home-base in the ever turning spiral dance of life.
I decided to make this name change on the last full moon in Gemini, which appropriately landed in the Gate of Change, conjunct my North Node in the Gate of the Gatherer. That full moon asked me to take this Solstice time to align with my own call toward gathering, dialogue, and weaving meaning close to home. This change arrives at a collective threshold, a time when so many of us are shedding our year-of the-snake identities and saying goodbye to structures that no longer fit. Together, in a world that’s seeming to spiral faster and faster, we’re learning how to stop outsourcing our knowing to distant authorities, imagined saviors, or future promises- and giving deeper trust to our own hearts, our own hearths.
I keep asking myself what the world needs at such a critical time of paradigm change. And I’ve realized that I can’t answer that for anyone but myself. There is no Next Big Thing coming- the next Big Thing is a bunch of small things. Small things that will come together like mycelium, like a constellation of bright stars.
And my small thing is Hearth & Spiral, where it’s my mission to help sovereign, creative souls to orient within this great turning, find their truest inner shine, and connect with what they want to bring forth into this era of new beginnings.
Hearth & Spiral, this new version, has the same genesis as Astrosomatics and Cycles of Time, but I’m coming to this evolution with less to prove- and with more consciousness, more simplicity, and more warmth. This will be a place to orient inside the great turning, to tend your inner fire, and to remember that you don’t have to do this alone.
I’m grateful you’re here as this work returns to center, and I’m excited to see what beautiful fruits and flowers will grow from this re-rooting.
With love,
Alison

Congrats on the change—I love a spiral. ꩜
