Aries Season 2026: Horoscopes for your Rising Sign
What lights up your chart from March 20 – April 19?
This year, the sun crosses into Aries on the same day that Mercury stations direct, ending a watery Pisces season that was dominated by trickster Mercury retrograding through its soupy sign of detriment.
The spring equinox, that cusp between Pisces and Aries, is a major hinge in the wheel of the year. As we pass through it, something inside your body likely registers the shift before your mind does. There’s a felt sense of a door opening onto a path of new fertile ground that longs for your footsteps. How will you walk them as the sun and inner planets all make their through the sign of the Ram?
This year, the astrological new year’s threshold carries a bit of extra weight. Saturn is in Aries, and has now been there long enough that it’s starting to pressurize the question of what you are actually building- and can your body sustain it? Saturn in the sign of the self asks us to stop performing our initiations and begin living them. This isn’t a call for urgency, though- this is the Aries of the blacksmith at the forge, or the archer drawing the bow slowly, reminding us that
Slow is Smooth…. and Smooth is Fast.
Speaking of which, Neptune is a recently new inhabitant of Aries as well, which means that the atmosphere of the collective dream is changing. For over a decade, Neptune moved through Pisces, dissolving boundaries and thinning the veil between this world and the spirit world. That work is never fully finished, but the tides of the ocean have shifted.
Neptune in Aries brings the dissolutionary quality of the sea god inward, to your embodied sense of self. Now it is the ego itself that is being softened, the hard shell of personal identity gently eroded by something larger than individual will. This can feel disorienting in the body, asking you to consider who you truly are when the story you’ve been telling about yourself turns out to actually be quite permeable.
Neptune in Aries asks the question: What is left of you when the performance of your selfhood is buried by a massive wave? The invitation here is less about losing yourself underwater, and more in discovering that the “self” is more fluid and more resilient than you believed. Dreams will be more vivid this season, and the line between intuition and impulse will blur, so I’d advise to move slowly enough to tell the difference between the two.
Jupiter has recently stationed direct midway through it’s time in Cancer, and its presence there softens and expands the domain of the body’s home ground. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, and the themes of this throne are an expanded emphasis on emotional safety, homeland, nourishment, and people and places we return to when we need to remember who we are. In this space, the roots are growing thick. Pay attention to what your body seeks out this season when no one is watching, because Jupiter in Cancer rewards instinct over strategy.
Aries season is also the last month of Uranus in Taurus, as well. For the past 7 years, the sky god has been disrupting what we thought was solid. Everything from our body’s relationship to the earth to money, the material world to what it means to feel safe in physical form. During Aries season, Uranus stands at the very last degrees of Taurus, gathering everything it has learned and preparing to move on. There is a quality to these final degrees that feels both like completion and like the last tremor before stillness. For some, the disruption has been external, with land and livelihood shifting. For others it has been more intimate, a rewiring of the body’s relationship to pleasure and stability.
Whatever Uranus has been excavating in your material life over these years, this season asks you to reflect honestly about what has been uprooted and what has, against all odds, held steady. Something in you is more durable than you knew. Uranus crossing the threshold into Gemini is coming on April 25, and the world’s communicative nervous system is about to be electrified to an entirely new register. This season is the last breath before that initiation. Feel the ground while it is still, briefly… ground.
For every rising sign, Aries season 2026 is asking a version of this same question: what does it mean to be present in your own life, in your own body, as a full and sovereign participant? Everyone’s answer will be different, but the springy ground underneath is the same. This season wants you here, awake at the starting line… and ready to begin a new cycle.
Horoscopes for your rising sign are below. But first,
I’d love to invite you to join me to ring in Aries Season with some gentle breath & creativity! I’m hosting an event called Sprouting into Action: A Spring Equinox Ritual, happening tomorrow, Saturday, March 21 at 10am on Zoom. We’ll learn some of the mythology, history, astrology & human design of the holiday, do a guided meditation to reflect on the past astrological year, and wiggle our way into spring.
Your Aries Season Horoscopes
ARIES RISING
Saturn has been living in your first house long enough now that you are being tasked with becoming someone more solid than you were before. Aries season arrives and the Sun joins in on that game- think of it as a kind of anointment or initiaton. You are being asked to inhabit yourself more fully, to stop standing slightly outside your own skin and step all the way in. The work this season is physical. What does it mean to be present in your body as prayer rather than performance? Notice where you brace. Notice where you hold your breath before speaking. The myth you’re tasked to tap into is the quintessential hero at the moment they put on their armor. Aries season for you evokes the private, unglamorous act of suiting up before stepping onto the world’s stage. Take your time here, and build your power in the small moves.
