Barbault’s cyclic index method was built in the 1930s based on five out planets, Jupiter through Pluto. The whole power of the system was that it produced a single number tracking how bunched or spread they were, and that number could be tested backward through history.
If Barbault had added Chiron to the index, he would have changed the formula, and that would have broken backward compatibility with everything he’d built. The index number would have climbed or dipped not because the five planets moved, but because a new body got added to the team. i suppose he could have gone backward again but his system was set before Chiron. Great question! It would be interesting to see a cyclic index with Chiron included… I’m obviously into the asteroids!
Great, I'm glad you saw the value in my question, although re-reading it, I didn't state it very clearly. I have been following Hummingbirds' work since 2021 and work with her as well. I am beginning to start my Chiron return, so I'm heavily invested in all things centaur right now. Hummingbird also makes mention that this hole could be considered as a fulcrum. Now that could be the optimistic take, knowing that around this point everything else orientates to bring more healing, but wouldn't that be ideal?!
Wow. Great assessment 👏 👍 I am interested in the hole in the bucket, since Chiron wasnt factored in. But in 2003, didnt he have time to factor it in?
Thank you! Here are my thoughts on that-
