I celebrated my Beltane (Day? Do we say Beltane Day?)---anyway, I celebrated Beltane morning by getting out into my garden, getting my hands dirty and yanking out a bunch of Taurus-expressing "weeds" (to clear way for my wife's Taurus-loving flowers) while listening to this wonderful episode.

I really do love how you bring all of these various cycles and modalities for understanding them together, Alison and then, as if that wasn't enough, you brought on a wonderful guest in Lisa.

As a guy who has been a "podcast addict" since 2006, one thing that "hooks" me is when two awesome people share a conversation and not only give me insights and resonance with things I'm thinking about, but have a warm camaraderie that makes me feel like I am among friends.

That's my long-sentence way of saying, "Bring Lisa back some time!"

To focus on just one specific that she brought to my attention (and yours, it seems), I really did like the "Feed your Moon" concept of self-care, and it caused me to stop---well, I'd wrapped up the gardening and was cycling on a morning errand by then---to stop my bike ride and confirm the Moons of my children, my wife, my parents and my brother...and I'm sure I'll expand from there!

It also made me reflect on having a Capricorn Moon and how, in 2020 when I was fresh off of quitting a 16-year job as a public school teacher here in Japan and not really starting anything new yet, I really did have some periods of being down in the dumps and I suspect not having something to feel I'm working on is something this Cap Moon needs to feel at ease.

Okay, once again, great show, and, yes, I'd like it to become a trend that I listen every week and then share a comment! Keep up the GREAT work and I look forward to your future guests, too!

Phew...thank goodness Substack allows for edits...I'd spelled it Beltrane with an "r" because I'm a lifelong baseball nerd and it reminded me of two former players, Carlos Beltran and Adrian Beltre ... my Mercury at 0 Capricorn (and the professional writer/editor in me) doesn't like to make such mistakes! Beltane, Beltane, Beltane...the teacher in me has put me to task, at my desk, writing it out ten, maybe twenty times, Beltane, Beltane, Beltane....lol....having some fun here at my expense!

Haha all good Bryan! Thanks so much for your comment and for listening again this week! I also love feeding the moon idea, and will definitely have Lisa back on the pod! I talked with her abour it and having a project is definitely a Cap moon source of nourishment! My daughter has a Cap moon as well and at 5 I find this to be true for her already!

You’re welcome.

Thinking back on my childhood, I’d say I was happiest when I had projects I was pursuing. Now, the ones that brought me the most joy were the ones I created, as opposed to be given instructions to create them (by teachers, parents, brothers, friends, etc.).

That’s not to say others can’t inspire ideas or make suggestions. Rather, it’s just that the Cardinal Earth energy likes to initiate the projects themselves as much as possible.

In fact, I think for me no matter my project, be it writing a novel or teaching a class and needing a lesson plan, I’m most fulfilled when I’m in those early stages.

Anyway, perhaps these reflections will help you in your work to understand the Cap Moon, and in your parenting in how to feed it for your child.

Have a good rest of your week and I look forward to your next episode!
