I had a very deep experience with Medusa, which I post about in my recent post and the changes that happened to her story and Athena’s story over time as patriarchy deepened. I didn’t talk about her gaze… but in the earliest myths and depictions on temples she protected the goddess, protected women. And eventually she was throughly destroyed.
Loved this take on Medusa. As a person with Sun/Ceres/Algol conjunction (my bday is May 16th) I have never resonated with the way she’s been depicted. This whole piece rang so true for me to contemplate on this new year/new moon threshold for me. Thank you! 🙏🏼🩷
I love the image of the Spaniard serenading his señorita. It speaks so strongly to Gate 23 — those with this gate prominent in their charts are meant to share without attachment, for the sheer pleasure of the offering itself. Non-attachment. Delight in the simple act of release and contribution. It’s a fascinating invitation to explore a self-centered nature that simultaneously reaches toward a new possibility of belonging.
Honestly, I used to have thyroid problems. Once I started sharing what lives inside me authentically, the issues disappeared — which is both a miracle and completely unsurprising to me at this point in my journey.
