Somatic Practice for the Spring Equinox: Energy Fountain

A Fountain of Energy delivers us from Pisces to Aries season

Hello there,

Happy transition week from Pisces to Aries, the completion of one revolution of the earth around the sun and the dawning of a new cycle with the Spring Equinox!

Along with my weekly forecasts, I am going to be offering weekly somatic practices for my paid subscribers as part of the Embody the Revolution monthly membership.

I’m sending this first practice out to everyone to give you a taste of what they will be like: short, gentle, 5-10 minute guided practices that can help us attune to the energy of the week and the changing seasons in our bodies.

If you’re interested in joining and subscribe by March 31, you can use this link to get 20% off for the year- (both monthly or annual subscriptions).

The first PDF workbook with detailed transits of Aries season and journaling prompts for each week will be sent to all paid subscribers on Thursday, March 20th. Our first live breathwork session on Zoom will be held on Saturday, March 29 for the solar eclipse in Aries (recordings will be sent out for those who can’t attend live).

I so look forward to embodying the wheel of the year with you! If you’d like to join but the price feels unaccessible for any reason, please message me here or at alison@astrosomatics.com.

Somatic Practice for Week 0 of the Wheel of the Year: The Cosmic Birth Canal

The Energy Fountain

This exercise helps you align with the shift from Pisces (feet, endings, surrender) to Aries (head, beginnings, action) by creating a continuous flow of energy through your body. It connects you to the earth while activating your inner fire and forward momentum.

In Astrology, Pisces is associated with the feet and Aries is associated with the head. This exercise moves energy from the earth through the soles of our feet, up the midline of our bodies, and is released through the head, coming back to the earth in a continuous cycle. Step 1: Root and Receive

  • Stand or sit with your feet firmly planted on the ground (barefoot if possible), with your feet hip-width apart. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

  • As you continue to inhale, magine the energy of the earth rising up through the soles of your feet, like warm currents of vitality moving into your legs.

  • With each inhale, feel this energy traveling upward—through your knees, hips, belly, chest, and into your head.

Step 2: Overflow and Release

  • As the energy reaches the top of your head, imagine it pouring out like a fountain, cascading in all directions.

  • Feel it gently washing over your body, releasing tension and any lingering heaviness.

  • Let this energy flow back down toward the ground, like rain soaking into the earth.

Step 3: Recycle and Expand

  • As the earth absorbs this energy, feel it being drawn back up through your feet, creating an endless, circular current.

  • With each breath, allow this cycle to continue—rising, overflowing, falling, and returning—keeping you connected, clear, and energized.

  • After a few cycles, take a deep breath and step forward with intention, feeling fully aligned with the rhythm of renewal.

Benefits of this practice

I love doing this practice anytime I want to release mental pressure and feel connected to my breath and to the earth. This exercise can keep you grounded while also awakening movement and inspiration. It mirrors the transition from Pisces’ deep, flowing wisdom to Aries’ fiery emergence, creating a natural, sustainable energy flow to carry you into the new season ahead.

Thanks for joining me for the energy fountain! See you again next time.

Alison
